A Lifelong Dream Come True

Ever since she was four, Dr. Holly Howard Fegan knew she wanted to be a vet. From guinea pigs and snakes to terrapins, Dr. Holly’s childhood was filled with animals—and her fascination with them never faded.

On the heels of graduation from the University of Liverpool in the UK, Dr. Holly has brought her passion and excitement to Vetland Hospital & Emergency.

Her experience spans caring for animals of every shape and size—from cows and horses to reptiles and more. It’s this broad background that makes her a compassionate and adaptable addition to the team.

Curious Mind, Caring Hands

Dr. Holly has a keen interest in both surgery and internal medicine. Holly says that what she enjoys most of all is the deep satisfaction of helping pets live happier, healthier lives.

In her own words, “the best part of my day is seeing cats,” she admits with a smile. “I’m definitely a cat person—but I love dogs too!”

Life Beyond the Clinic

Originally from the famous beachside UK holiday town of Brighton, Dr. Holly loves a bit of adventure—especially cold-water swimming, something she hopes to continue here in Melbourne.

She enjoys staying active through running and gym workouts, and this summer she’s keen to learn to surf. When she’s not caring for patients, you’ll find her curled up with a book and a cup of tea—a true Brit at heart.

Her beloved cat, Pearl, currently lives with her mum back in the UK, but daily video calls keep them close. “She’s a big fluffy grey baby,” says Dr. Holly fondly.

Words of Wisdom for Pet Parents

“Keep your pets entertained,” Dr. Holly says. “They’re smarter than you think. A happy pet is a happy life.”

We’re thrilled to have Dr. Holly bringing her skill, kindness, and love for pets to the Vetland family.

Welcome aboard, Dr. Holly.
