It’s no secret that behavioural wellness is just as important to our pets as physical wellness.
We’re proud to introduce Yvonne Mann—our Animal Behaviourist with the skills, compassion, and real-world experience to help pets and families thrive.
Yvonne is a Nationally Accredited Dog Trainer and Behaviourist with more than 20 years of experience in pet training, puppy development, and advanced assistance dog work.
She’s a Certified Service Dog Coach, working closely with MindDog and Assistance Paws to help clients train dogs for psycho-social and mobility support.
One of her most memorable cases involved a wheelchair-bound client. Their dog could bring a phone, alert carers, open cupboards, and offer deep pressure therapy during panic attacks.
It was a mind-blowing moment for Yvonne. It deeply reinforced just how powerful and life-changing the human–dog bond can be when supported through the right training.
Yvonne uses a force-free, clicker-based approach, focused on building trust and setting dogs up for success.
She works with pet families, therapy dogs, and assistance dog teams. Her sessions are calm, thoughtful, and focused on achieving meaningful results.
Her training philosophy is simple: “When you set the dog up for success, you’re setting yourself up for success too.”
And her clients feel the difference every day:
“Our Bull Terrier was overexcited and had no self-control at four months old. After a few months of clicker training with Yvonne, he’s now calm, loving, and in control. We couldn’t be happier!”
Yvonne is a lifelong learner who’s always exploring new ways to deepen her skills. She stays current through courses, webinars, and hands-on experience.
She believes that staying curious is key to helping her clients get the very best support. At home, you’ll find her in the garden with her beloved German Shepherd—her favourite breed.
She’s also surrounded by a lively crew of chickens, geese, and racing pigeons. It’s this blend of dedication, heart, and hands-on knowledge that shapes every session she offers.
Yvonne doesn’t just train dogs—she helps people understand them, connect with them, and truly enjoy life together.
