Introducing Dr. Nishani

Emergency Vet MitchamDr. Nishani joined the VetLand team in 2024, bringing her passion for veterinary medicine and love for companion animals to our community. Originally from Sri Lanka, Dr. Nishani's dedication to animal welfare and her enthusiasm for helping pets and their owners shine through in every aspect of her work.

Dr. Nishani’s journey into veterinary medicine was inspired by her lifelong affection for animals. She recalls, "I always loved to work with companion animals, so I chose veterinary medicine as a way to help animals in need, to contribute to their well-being, and to make a positive impact on the lives of both pets and pet owners." This passion led her to VetLand, where she could apply her skills and knowledge to improve the health and happiness of our furry friends.

Nishani Emergency VetOn a typical shift, you’ll find Dr. Nishani handles everything from regular consultations to managing emergencies. She strives to create a comfortable and reassuring environment for both pets and their owners by combining empathy, clear communication, and a gentle approach. "I address the concerns and anxieties of pet owners by providing thorough explanations about the procedures and treatment options, which helps alleviate their worries," she explains.

Dr. Nishani has a special interest in companion animal internal medicine, constantly seeking to expand her knowledge and expertise in this field. She loves meeting new puppies and their parents, taking the time to educate them about the best ways to care for their new furry family member.
